FIRE AND EXPLOSION INFORMATION
Fire: Does not represent fire risk. The substance can react with high temperatures, so it can increase the severity of an existing fire. The containers can explode due to pressure accumulation.
Explosion: This solution is not considered to be hazard explosion.
Fire extinguishing measures: Use any convenient means to extinguish the surrounding fire. Use water spray to cool containers exposed to fire. Keep the product away from fire and excessive heat.
Unusual fire and explosion hazards: This substance may react violently with other types of chemicals,. Provide the best conditions for handling and storage.
HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION
Inhalation: Excessive inhalation of vapors, mists, or fumes can cause bronchial irritation, coughing, forced breathing, nausea and pulmonary edema, are additional effects including fading and delusions.
Ingestion: Erosion of the mucous membranes may occur. Symptoms include fading, confusion, coma, circulatory problems, edema of the pharynx and larynx. Esophagus or stomach perforation of the may occur. The effects are less harmful at lower concentrations.
Skin Contact: Contact may cause severe irritation, especially at higher concentrations.
Eye contact: Contact can cause irritation and severe damage, especially at a higher concentration.
Chronic Exposure: Constant eyes and throat irritation.
Provocation of pre-existing conditions: People with impaired respiratory function may be more susceptible to the substance effects.
FIRST AID PROCEDURES
Inhalation: Keep the person away from the contaminated area and take him to a place with fresh air. If the person presents no breathing, apply artificial respiration. If there's breathing difficult (oxygen), get medical attention immediately.
Ingestion: If swallowed, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Give large amounts of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention immediately.
Skin contact: Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention immediately. Wash clothes before reuse. Thoroughly clean shoes before reuse.
Eye contact: Wash eyes immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, lifting lower and upper eyelids from time to time. Get medical attention immediately.
Observation to the doctor: Endotracheal intubation may be necessary if the edema compromises the airway. For individuals with significant inhalation exposure, monitor blood gases and take x-rays of the chest.
Stability: Stable under ordinary conditions of use and storage.
Hazardous decomposition products: It emits toxic vapors of the solvent derived from petroleum distillation, even at room temperature. This product should never be heated.
Hazardous Polymerization: It has never occurred and will not occur, even for long storage periods.
Incompatibilities: Ammonia, amines, ammonium salts, methanol, cellulose, oxidizable metals, bisulfates. This product must not be mixed with another liquid, only with the fuels indicated.
Conditions to avoid: Light, heat and product open containers.
SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURE
Ventilate and use respirators or other protective equipment especially in enclosed places. Try to return the liquid to the container or some other container. Use only water and cover with common sand. Once the waste is collected, rinse the area with plenty of water and let it vent. Repeat rinse process.
The packaging, storage, transportation and disposal of all these materials used during the aggregation process to the storage tanks must be carried out in accordance with the procedures and laws in force regarding the environment.
ERSONAL PROTECTION INFORMATION
Respiratory Protection: It's always required. Wear respiratory equipment whenever you handle the product for a long time or in an enclosed place.
Ventilation: There should always be good ventilation, at the time of handling the product, to control exposure levels below the limits.
Eyes: Not always necessary. Use visual protection when emptying crystal vases or drums to avoid splash accidents.
Gloves: Wear chemical resistance gloves.
Other clothing and equipment: Wear chemically resistant clothing when there's a splashing likelihood or contact with other materials. Wash contaminated clothing with soap and water and dry it before use. There should be emergency showers within reach in case there is a direct exposure to the product.
CAUTION: SLIGHTLY ALKALINE LIQUID
It contains alkaline salts and oil-derived solvents that are volatile. Contact with eyes or skin may cause burns. Severe damage may happen if swallowed. Avoid inhaling vapors or particles from the product.
PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT IN HANDLING, STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
It is recommended to use special gloves for chemical products, lenses and boots of the same material. Once the container is open, the product will volatilize quickly. The handling given to this product must be accompanied by the prevention measures and risks of this. Do not mix it with any other product. It can produce dangerous vapors when being mixed. Keep out of reach of children and untrained personnel.
When the container is empty, it can still be dangerous. This is because after the containers have been emptied, they still retain product residues (vapor, liquid or solid). All specifications must be read before use.
Keep the container tightly closed, keep it in a cool, dry, ventilated area. Protect against physical damage. Keep it isolated from all kinds of incompatible substances. The containers of this material can be dangerous when they are empty since they conserve the residues of the product (vapors, liquid). Observe all alerts and precautions listed for the product.
No information was found regarding the normal routes of occupational exposure investigated as a tumorigenic and mutagenic.
In Mexico the ingredients are regulated under the rules:

- NOM-053-ECOL-1993 = Determination of Hazardous Waste due to its toxicity to the environment.

- NOM-055-ECOL-1993 = Confinement of Hazardous Waste.
